Description
For articles with italics, the Google Blog search is pulling in the italics coding, as such:
http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?as_q=%22Audrius%20Menkis%22+%22The%20Mating-Type%20Chromosome%20in%20the%20Filamentous%20Ascomycete%20%3C italic%3ENeurospora%20tetrasperma%3C%2Fitalic%3E%20Represents%20a%20Model%20for%20Early%20Evolution%20of%20Sex%20Chromosomes%22
However, this seems to make a difference in the results returned. EG, http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=%22The+Mating-Type+Chromosome+in+the+Filamentous+Ascomycete+%3Citalic%3ENeurospora+tetrasperma%3C%2Fitalic%3E+Represents+a+Model+for+Early+Evolution+of+Sex+Chromosomes%22&btnG=Search+Blogs [] (italic coding included) brings up no results, whereas http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=%22The+Mating-Type+Chromosome+in+the+Filamentous+Ascomycete+Neurospora+tetrasperma+Represents+a+Model+for+Early+Evolution+of+Sex+Chromosomes%22&btnG=Search+Blogs (italic coding removed) brings up a relevant result.
EG the article is: http://plosgenetics-demo.plos.org/article/related/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pgen.1000030
Is it possible to stop the formatting tags pulling into the URL?
