Description

Using the cross-journal search, searching multiple journals, I get articles from journals that I did not select.

Details:

Search Term: Plasmodium falciparum

Journals Selected: PLoS Clinical Trials, PLoS Computational Biology, PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, PLoS Pathogens

Journals that show up (in addition to those searched for): PLoS ONE, PLoS Medicine

All of the PLoS One and PLoS Medicine articles that show up in the result set for the aforementioned query are also cross-published to PLoS Clinical Trials, which is one of the journals that is being searched.

When Clinical Trials is removed from the search, just over half of the previous number of articles are returned, even though none of the articles in the first set were actually published in Clinical Trials.

While this is the designed behavior, the end user may not be expecting it. Therefore it may be prudent to include some verbiage on the Advanced Search page and this detail should definitely be included on the Help page.
